Perfectly providing for continued amusement of the children is a colourful and well kitted-out cubby house in the large lawn of the back yard. The back yard also boasts an undercover entertaining area, complete with barbecue, for that truly Australian holiday experience. When coming ‘home’ from one of the magnificent beaches a short car journey away, wash off the sand in the back yard’s outdoor bathroom!
Just across the road from the local Farmer’s Market of Saturday mornings, and from the Organic Gardens and its quaint garden café, the location of Heritage Cottage ensures the best opportunity to have fresh regional produce to use in the kitchen and to sample gourmet delicacies for which the Margaret River Region is renowned. A short stroll along the street brings you to a host of restaurants and cafés for those times eating out is preferred. The main street also offers plenty of speciality shops and galleries, access to parks and walk trails and bike hire, and even a distillery and a brewery just over the river. Caves, forests, surf, wineries, are all but a short country drive.
